Why Refoundry?
We created Refoundry to make amazing custom miniatures accessible to everyone—bringing unique designs to life at an affordable price, so you can own the minis you’ve always dreamed of without breaking the bank.
How We Became Miniature Fans
Our love for miniatures started years ago—decades, even. It all began with an Airfix North American P51D Mustang. The model? Beautiful. The paint job? Not so much. Fast forward through 40 more Airfix kits, and we stumbled upon a Space Marine. It looked fierce, though our painting skills didn’t quite do it justice. Soon after, Lord of the Rings minis entered the mix, and our paint jobs started looking like they were meant to.
Life took over, and we stepped away from minis for a while, but it wasn’t long before the Space Marines came marching back. Ultramarines turned into Blood Angels, a flirtation with Necrons happened, and our Stormcast army, complete with dragons, kept growing. Let’s not talk about the unfinished Nighthaunt army or the mountain of Underworld warbands. And yes, the pile of shame is real. We love minis, tabletop gaming, RPGs, and most of all, seeing these models come to life.
How Refoundry Was Born
While Games Workshop creates stunning models, we found it hard to discover high-quality minis elsewhere—except for a few online platforms where you could download beautifully sculpted designs. That’s when we decided to get our first 3D printer. Soon enough, Harper (then aged 9) had an ever-growing collection of Pokémon minis, dragons, and mushroom houses. Dioramas started popping up, and friends began asking, “Could you print this for me?”
A few months, a few more printers, and we were regularly printing all kinds of custom miniatures, from Hero Forge designs to personalized busts. We loved it. It became clear people wanted custom minis without the hassle of owning a 3D printer. And that’s how Refoundry was born—to bring your characters and ideas to life, one print at a time.
